Patience
In the quiet garden of hope, I patiently wait,
For the flower of affection to bloom at its own rate.
Her petals unfurl slowly, not rushed by desire,
A gentle process, stoked by love's tender fire.
The heart knows its yearning, a silent plea,
To be with the one whose soul sings to me.
Yet, time is a keeper, with keys made of trust,
Unlocking the moments when being together is a must.
So I stand by the gate, with patience as my guide,
For the girl I adore, to walk by my side.
The waiting is a journey, not a silent plight,
A testament to love that feels just right.

Let go and let God sort it out,
If the things you wanted in life had any clout,
You wouldn't be filled with so much doubt,
Wondering if you've chosen the right route.
Life will go according to plan no matter how much you fight,
So just learn to take the time to make everything right,
While enjoying all the little things that can make life feel out of sight,
Because some day you will get your chance to take flight,
Leaving this world and all its problems behind soaring high like a kite,
Entering the kingdom of heaven as promised with all those who kept their faith tight,
Believing in faith is knowing everything will be alright,
When you focus on doing the best things for all those in sight,
Nothing can stop your ascent to avoid that eternal long night,
That is said to befall all those who have lived their lives callously in spite,
Doom to weep for all their sins in life denying them that much needed respite.
After a long life lived and hard lessons learned,
I now know this life is a gift to be earned,
So it's finally time I focus on all the blessings that should be returned,
And mend all the bridges that have been burned,
Because I Promise you Lord, I have learned!
