Download VirtualBox & Xubuntu via the links below to get started.

Setting up your IDE (Integrated Development Environment)

Install VirtualBox & Linux Xubuntu to create your workstation.
Install VirtualBox Guest Additions *This should fix mouse scroll wheel issues.
Open Terminal by using Ctrl + Alt + T
Update OS & App by using commands:

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Install Tools:

Google Chrome

wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

sudo apt install ./google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
Delete Installer: rm google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
Launch it: google-chrome

VSCode (Visual Studio Code) Text Editor

wget -O code-latest.deb 'https://code.visualstudio.com/sha/download?build=stable&os=linux-deb-x64'

sudo apt install ./code-latest.deb
Delete installer: rm code-latest.deb
Launch it: code

Start using Only the VM to learn the new OS & use it as your daily driver
